Why This Service Exists Separately

A Chronically Under-Served Discipline — Delivered Properly, Privately, Female-Led

Women's health physiotherapy in India remains chronically under-served — despite the fact that up to 40% of postnatal women experience some degree of pelvic-floor dysfunction, and a significant proportion of chronic pelvic pain, urinary symptoms and postnatal back pain is highly treatable when correctly assessed. Most of our patients arrive here having been told, at some point, that their symptoms were just 'part of being a woman'.

Our women's health service exists to change that conversation. Every session is delivered by a senior female physiotherapist with post-graduate training in pelvic-health. Every appointment runs in a private treatment room. Every examination, particularly any internal component, happens only with fully informed consent — and never as a default assumption.

The patient demographic we see reflects Chembur's professional and family reality: the BKC-commuting corporate mother back in the office six weeks after delivery, the second-time mum with a persistent diastasis, the perimenopausal patient adjusting to changes she wasn't warned about, and the woman whose stress incontinence has finally reached the point of being unignorable.

What Sets Our Women's Health Service Apart

  • Every session with our female clinician — no exceptions
  • Private, single-patient treatment room
  • Consent-first, non-invasive-first assessment approach
  • Antenatal / postnatal / pelvic / menopause pathways
  • Coordination with your gynaecologist & obstetrician
  • Home-visit option across East Mumbai for postnatal care
Conditions We Treat

Women's Health Presentations We Manage

Nine presentations that account for the majority of our women's-health caseload — every one of them treatable, and most of them chronically ignored.

Warning Signs

Symptoms Women Are Told to Ignore — But Absolutely Shouldn't

Every one of these is treatable. Most of our patients tolerated them for years before booking. Don't be that patient.

💧

Any Leaking — At Any Age

Even 'just a bit when I sneeze' or 'only at the gym'. Not normal. Very treatable.

Pelvic Heaviness or Dragging

Post-baby, or perimenopausal — a classic prolapse symptom that responds to physio.

Pain With Intimacy

Physical, treatable causes exist for most cases — worth investigating.

🤰

Persistent Pregnancy Pain

Back, pelvic girdle, pubic symphysis — treatable, not 'just what pregnancy is'.

Symptoms you've been told to 'just live with'? Book a confidential 60-minute assessment with our female clinician.

★★★★★
"Six years of stress incontinence I'd never told my husband, let alone a doctor. Booked quietly after reading a review. The clinician was warm, unhurried and made me feel human. Twelve weeks later, no leaks — even at the gym. I only wish I'd come six years ago instead of suffering in silence. If you're reading this and wondering — book."

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions Answered

Quick answers to questions our Chembur patients ask most often.

Will I definitely be seen by a female physiotherapist?
Yes — every women's-health session is delivered by our female clinician. This is non-negotiable and does not change based on scheduling.
Will I need an internal examination?
Not necessarily, and never as a default. Many presentations can be assessed and treated externally. Internal examination happens only when clinically indicated AND with your fully informed consent. You remain in control at every point.
Can I bring my partner or a friend?
Absolutely — entirely your call. Some patients prefer support present, some prefer complete privacy. Both are supported.
Is antenatal physiotherapy safe?
Fully safe when delivered by a women's-health-trained clinician using pregnancy-cleared techniques. Many of our antenatal patients are working professionals who continue right up to 38 weeks.
When can I start postnatal physiotherapy?
Usually from 6 weeks post-delivery (both vaginal and C-section), following obstetrician clearance. Earlier for scar mobilisation in some cases.
Do you offer home visits during pregnancy or after delivery?
Yes. Third-trimester and early-postnatal home visits are available across Chembur, Chembur Camp, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion. Especially useful in the first few weeks with a newborn.
